What we use and why

Newsletter: your email address, subscription choices and records of your signup are processed through Brevo to send studio and game news. Joining is optional and based on your consent. You can unsubscribe using the link in our emails or by contacting us.
Messages: your email address and anything you choose to send us are used to answer your enquiry. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to requests and managing our work, or on steps you request before entering a contract.
Website delivery and security: Cloudflare Pages hosts the site. Technical information such as IP address, browser details, requested pages and request times may be processed to deliver the site, investigate faults and prevent abuse. Our interest is keeping the site available and secure.

This website has no Google Analytics, advertising pixels or embedded social feeds.

Brevo processes delivery information, including whether an email was delivered or bounced. Our newsletter settings also allow opens and link clicks to be recorded using tracking pixels and tracked links and associated with your email address. This helps us understand readership and improve our newsletters. These email measurements are separate from browsing this website.

You can unsubscribe using the link in each newsletter or contact us about your data and tracking preferences. Blocking remote images in your email app can prevent some open measurements, but does not prevent the measurement of clicks on tracked links.

Services and international processing

We use Cloudflare for hosting, Brevo for the signup form and newsletter, and our email provider for correspondence. We do not sell your personal data. Stores, press kits and social networks linked from this site have their own policies when you visit them.

Our company is in the United States, and our providers may process data in other countries. Their privacy notices explain their locations and transfer arrangements: Cloudflare and Brevo. You can contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.

How long we keep information

Newsletter details are kept while you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe, limited records may remain to respect your opt-out, document consent or meet legal obligations. Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any related obligations or claims. Technical records follow the hosting provider’s applicable retention settings.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your data, and object to certain uses. You can withdraw newsletter consent at any time; this does not affect earlier lawful processing. Contact hi@magicrainstudios.com to make a request. You may also complain to the data protection authority where you live or work.
